В Eclipse выберите:
  • File/New/Others..
  • Group Id: org.o7planning
  • Artifact Id: SpringMVCAnnotationForm

Нажать на правую кнопку мыши на Project, выбрать Properties.

Выбрать Java Compiler 7 или 8:

4. Конфигурация Web.xml & Maven

Вам нужно редактировать web.xml чтобы использовать Web App 3.x.

5. Конфигурация Spring MVC

SpringWebAppInitializer используется для инициализации конфигурации Spring, он является пунктом начала Spring MVC. Он заменяет конфигурацию Spring MVC в web.xml.

7. Spring MVC Validator

ApplicantValidator является классом для валидации (validate) данных, введенные пользователем в форму. В случае если пользователь вводит неправильно, появятся следующие оповещения, как в изображениях ниже:
